cookie policy

last updated: 2026-04-01

the short version

this website does not use tracking or analytics cookies. we have deliberately kept it that way.

1. what cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store so that the site can remember you on your next visit. Cookies fall into broad categories: strictly-necessary cookies, functional cookies, analytics cookies, and advertising cookies.

2. what we use

This public website (https://arkavix.com) uses no cookies at all. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising, no social-media pixels, no session cookies. You can confirm this by inspecting your browser's storage while viewing any page on this site — you will find it empty.

We made this choice deliberately. We respect the intelligence of our audience enough not to instrument their reading habits, and we believe the web is a better place when the tools of measurement are used in proportion to the value they return. The value of measuring our blog readers, for us, would be very small. The cost to them is a browser full of trackers. The trade is easy.

3. what we don't use

To be fully explicit, this site does not use any of the following:

  • Google Analytics or any equivalent behavioural analytics service;
  • advertising networks or remarketing pixels;
  • social-media sharing buttons that phone home;
  • session-replay or heatmap tools;
  • third-party fonts or scripts that would set cookies.

We do load fonts from Google Fonts and a small number of design assets from a content delivery network. These do not set cookies in the browsers we have tested, but they do involve a network request. If this matters to you, we recommend a privacy-respecting browser extension; we do not object.

4. what your browser stores

Some modern browsers may retain entries in their own caches (CSS, images, fonts) to speed up future visits. This is browser-level caching, not a cookie, and is controlled entirely by your browser settings.

5. internal tools

arkavix's internal tools — which are not served from this website — do use strictly-necessary session cookies to keep employees logged in. These tools are not available to the public and are out of scope for this policy.

6. future changes

If we ever add cookies to this site, we will update this policy, notify you via a visible banner on your next visit, and provide a clear way to consent or decline before any non-essential cookie is set. That is not a plan; it is a commitment.

7. contact

Questions about cookies or tracking on this site can be sent to hello@arkavix.com.
